Your family portrait should tell the viewer something about who you all are, what's important to you, what you hold dear and how you feel about them. The picture itself should evoke those feelings within you..
This is the sort of portrait I will take of my family. I love the intimacy of it, the feeling you are observing a private moment. The baby boy and his brothers in this portrait seem to be engaged in a fun game and the unique point-of-view strengthens the feeling that we are some sort of mysterious observer, the only one seeing it.
These sorts of moment are only achievable when working with a photographer you trust, in an environment where your family is at ease, free to behave naturally, to allow me to capture the true and personal aspects that you love about your family.
